USING SITE SOURCED WATER + CITY BACKUP IS SMART IRRIGATION

MUNRO CAN HELP YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN

If you’re using site-sourced water from a ditch, lake, pond or tank that sometimes “runs dry” and the system needs to automatically switch to municipal “make up” water, Munro is the only manufacturer that has a control built especially for that purpose: The BrainBox.

Using a series of float control switches, the BrainBox monitors the water level in the primary onsite source. If there is sufficient held water to feed the pump when the start signal is received, the pump will pull the water from the source. If there is not enough water available, the BrainBox can automatically switch to city water. Switching back happens automatically too, based on the float sensors.

Utilizing dual water sources offers numerous advantages. It lowers the operating cost of the system by reducing municipal water use. It often allows you to irrigate regardless of local water restrictions. It also promotes sustainability by reducing the strain on municipal water systems and lowering water bills.
